In 2016 if you wanted a production line Les Paul that is made with authentic old-school specs without buying a Custom Shop, your best bet was the Traditional series. Every specification of this traditional is 1:1 the same as a pre-2006 non chambered Standard model except the pickups, which in fact are better in the Traditional (57 Classics instead of the harsh Burstbucker Pros). This one is a highly resonant guitar that is articulate and never dull sounding. It is snappy and fun. In addition, the flametop n this example is a real looker! I really like that in 2016 Gibson returned to the old 90's style classic brown hardcases with pink plush interior. What a solid, fun Les Paul!
